Trees
The tortured forms of trees struck by lighting, deformed by disease, overwhelmed by moss or stepped on by tourists are beautiful to my way of thinking. I find the shapes of these beleaguered trees endlessly interesting and as compelling to photograph as healthy branches reaching for the sun. Trunks in a play of shadow and light or oak silhouettes reflected in a pond.
However, the texture of bark on a healthy tree is also great fun to photograph. So are roots. What can I say, I love photographing trees!
